Effects of culinary herbs and spices on obesity: A systematic literature review of clinical trials

The aim of this article was to systematically review literature on clinical trials investigating the effects culinary herbs and spices obesity in adults. Relevant articles were searched through electronic databases using predefined search terms. Thirty commonly used for weight loss selected based literature. Out 33 intervention studies that eligible inclusion review, 24 reported statistically significant (P < 0.05) reductions indices either compared baseline or placebo. Overall, eight herbs/spices be beneficial regards including basil (on BW BMI), cardamom BW, BMI WC), cinnamon BMI, BFP coriander garlic ginger WC HC), nigella WC, HC) turmeric WC).
